Leadership for Field Training Officers
Class 5
Course Instructors: Chief Larry M. Hesser (Retired)
Chief Mike Alexander (Retired)
Leadership for the Field Trainer is about your ability to empower others and help them reach personal goals while working together to accomplish the organizational goals.
This highly interactive workshop will help the field trainer understand their leadership influence; learn techniques to avoid/navigate personality conflicts, and to communicate most effectively. The techniques utilized work extremely well in predicting how trainees can get stuck, providing ways to resolve the issues and create a healthy feedback system to deal with conflict.
Ultimately, this exposure will help take the FTO’s to a new level of excellence, reduce their frustrations and maximize the trainee’s learning experience. This class uses the same philosophy as is taught in the three week Developing Leaders Course but tailored for FTOs.
